I am raising this topic from last year.
Every time I enter a competition on my sky app, it spells my name wrong.
I've cleared cache etc, deleted the app, deleted all the sky apps. Checked my prefilled info in my phone. Have a Samsung s20.
Nothing works. It's always wrong and I have to amend it manually. It's the only app that's wrong.
Has anyone got any clue? It's bizarre. It's like it must be a hidden code and can't be changed forever. What happens if someone gets married and changes their name? There must be a fix.
Any ideas?

Find out moreTo get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who will be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. It can take up to a few hours to be contacted via this.

When the chat bubble does appear you have 48 hours to respond or it will be automatically closed. This isn't a live chat so replies are not instant.

Hi,
No, this never got fixed. It's still wrong to this day. It doesn't matter where I log in, it always fills my surname in wrong and I have to manually amend it (only in sky vip competition entries). All my prefilled boxes in the phone are correct. I even logged in on a tablet for the first time and it was still wrong there. No one at sky could help...
I gave up in the end and just amend it each time. I've since changed my phone and its still wrong..... sigh...

I have the same problem, which is so frutrating having to amend my surname every time I enter something on sky vip.

Hiya, I have upgraded the phone and I out of interest, didn't move the sky app over,.. and tried Sky VIP....still wrong!! I have no idea how to fix it. Been like it years. For some people if they change their name or get married etc...must be a right pain.

Hi, no they gave up! They actually had no idea how to fix it. The said to go to some other team...they had no clue either...they even had a developer ring me and he had no clue. Its become a total joke. It doesn't matter where I log in, on the SKY VIP competitions its always wrong...BUT if I go onto the freebies page eg an e book / or days out it fills it in right for me. I have cleared my phone etc, but it happens on my tablet too and that isn't even linked to my phone...and I tried it with a brand new phone recently as a test run before I even copied over data from my old phone and it was still incorrect...it must be a SKY / Android issue? Unless people have iphone issues too. I have no idea.
