Community Manager

Sky Go lets you enjoy the TV you love on up to 2 devices, watch around your home and never miss a moment of your favourite shows.

If you haven't installed the app yet it's easy. Go here for Windows and here for Mac.

Minimum system requirements.

These have changed - please check your own system against these minimum requirements.

Windows: Windows 7 (with Aero theme enable) and above

Mac: OS X 10.9 and above

For Windows: Intel Core i3-8130U 2.2GHz and above – or equivalent AMD

For Mac: Intel Core i5 processor (dual-core)

Minimum of 4 GB.

For PC: DirectX 11 compatible video card driver

For Mac: 512 MB RAM (Dedicated or Dynamic)

Direct X compatible sound.

To check your specs on a Mac

You just need to click the Apple icon at the top left and select "About This Mac". You'll then see the information you need. In the example below my Mac meets the minimum spec. Yay!

Check your specs on Windows

Depending on your version of Windows, the method of finding your system specs may be a little different. The below image is an example from Windows 10.

  • For Windows 10 - Right click the start button and choose System. This should tell you your CPU specs and installed RAM.
  • For Windows 8 - Hover at the top right of your screen until your Charms appear then choose Settings then PC Info.
  • For Windows 7 - Right-click My Computer and select Properties. Look for System in the Properties window.

If you meet the specs and still need a hand getting things working head to the Sky Go area of the community and ask for help.

I got excited when I saw this as I thought it was going to tell me that it was now available for the Chromebook. And then I read the article. Oh well. Maybe one day.
