Can't get on demand on my sky + box!!!!!

Same here I think you have to subscribe to certain hd channels

Sky demand keeps disconnecting cannot reset

I have been having trouble with my on demand since last year not working I have tried everything

My on demand is not working, this coinsides with the HD light has gone from my router, i presume we are being trapped into spending more money.

Thanks, but that doesnt work either, says no wireless connections found, despite reconnecting to the wifi in all other ways other than the movie channel.

I tried all of this and I still can't it to connect. It's been fine until now. And have no idea about the details needed for manual connection so looks like a phone call for me!

Zoemus,

Clear out your downloads. I learnt that I had recorded too much and not deleted them once watched and resulted in the memory being too full. Worked perfectly once I had deleted a ton of movies 🙂 hope this helps

Resetting multiple times produces the same result: no signal found, not even the neighbours'! The fault developed out of the blue one day when I found trying to access On Demand produced an error page. It was if I had never had it for all the years of my subscription. In fact, it is one of the major reasons for having Sky, along with the ability to time-shift programmes. Oh, yes, and to have access to Sky Atlantic. But if what I have contracted for - a package that includes On Demand - is not being delivered then Sky needs to fix it. If the problem is caused by equipment that is faulty, then it is Sky's responsibility. I didn't construct the Sky box, a company on contract to Sky did, so it needs to sort it out. Anyone have (a) the email for the correct Sky service desk, and (b) the email of Sky's CEO or other responsible honcho?

I found this worked for me

1  Restart router

2 Hold down sky button on box for 20 seconds till it does a full restart

Make sure your mini connector is connected to the usb of the sky box throughout (if your box doesn't have build in WiFi)

1. I normally just turn off the electricity suppy to the Skybox if I want to reboot it. Leaving it 20 minutes usually does the job.

2. I don't know what @Aural means by a 'mini connector'. My Skybox is in line of sight with the wall-mounted router and has always simply connected wirelessly in the past (but no more).

I have just received my dandy new Q box with on Demand package. All good.  Engineer just gone through the gate and it is telling me no connection can't watch only the basic package. What now throw this box out. Get onto sky. Very thing else re coputer are all conected to the network . So what is going on .Not got a chance to record anything and don't have time to try and turn myself into a engineer and fix iit.Any advice gratefully recived. Thank you x

Clear your deleted programmes and it will work! Caused by a full hard drive on the sky box!

Close to zero programmes recorded. I've never had over 50%. This problem is possibly design obsolecence of my Sky+ Box, though no one at Sky has had the guts to tell me, if so. I really object to paying a now-increased fee when it's Sky's own box that is at fault. Ah, well, I suppose there's always the small claims court procedure if all else fails, once Covid-19 subsides.

Sounds like your wireless card may be dead. If your router is near enough to the sky box you could connect it directly via an ethernet eable. If not I recommend a powerline adapter such as tplink powerline. You put one in the plug by the router, one by the sky box, connect them up via the supplied cables and pair them. That way your sky box will get onto your network.

Sister gave me mini wireless connector but can't get option on sky+hd box to connect with WiFi password..network settings say connection to on demand and router fail..I tried switching everything off and still won't work..help

Thanks, @Aural. Your comment on 02/04/2020 was spot on. Once I put in the powerline gubbins and connected it to the TV all worked fine and has continued to do so over the last three months. And there was me thinking I needed to shell out for a new Sky box! Everything seems so obvious in retrospect, as usual. But someone has to think of the 'obvious' and communicate it. Job done.

I've done all the above?  There is no light on the wireless conecter mini. I've tried everything!  Mini TV unavailable. No satellite signal

It says connection to broadband router. FAIL.  BUT. I CANT SEEM TO PUT MY ARROW DOWN FROM NETWORK. HELP A VERY OLD PENSIONER

I've tried putting in my password but it still says it's not connect to my broadband
