My Sky Q remote doesn't control the volume on my TV

If you’ve noticed that your Sky Q remote is unable to control the volume on your TV you may need to set up your remote. You may also notice that some of the other functions on the remote still work.

Calk1 mentions:- I've noticed the Sky Q remote (not the touch) doesn't want to control my Samsung tv's volume or even mute the TV. TV power and input button work fine but not the rest.

If you have a Sky Q touch remote or Sky Q remote with Voice Control:-

1. Press and hold 7 and 9 until the light on the remote flashes. This will reset the remote.
2. Press and hold 1 and 3 until the light flashes.
3. Select Next and follow the on-screen instructions.

If you have a Sky Q remote or Sky Q Accessibility remote:- 

1. Press Home on your remote
2. Select Settings, then Setup, followed by Remote Control
3. Select the remote you're using
4. Select Control your TV then Find it for me and follow the on-screen instructions

Please note: If your TV brand doesn't appear within the Find it for me section then it can't be controlled by your remote. The TV database is updated regularly so check back at a later date.
