Hi. Just moved to SkyGlass with Sky Ultra. Disappointed that Al Jazeera doesn't appear to be included - it was in my previous package. Any fix or workaround?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@joebirrell Ajazeera are not on Glass, there is no "fix" as you cannot fix something that was never there. This is the list of all channels on Glass https://www.sky.com/help/articles/tv-channel-list-sky-glass
You can access All Jazeera live on Youtube.

Someone from Sky should pin that list on every single page as you go through the order process for Glass, with a final disclaimer and link to it before you are able to complete the purchase 🤣.

So the answer is "tough luck". Any political interests that may have arranged for this to happen? (removed)

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@Whitstable far more likely is Al Jazeera dont want to pay for putting their channel onto the new plstform. It costs to set up and run an IPTV service. Several news channels like CNN have decided its worth it othrrs hsven't as yet.

Possibly Qatar has had other things to spend its time (and money) on recently...

Channels available on Satellite or from an aerial or from cable TV it not the same thing as IPTV
These are different type of broadcast delivery systems and also involve different broadcast agreements between channel and provider
Sky Glass/Sky Stream is IPTV (Internet Protocol television (IPTV) is the delivery of television content over Internet Protocol (IP) networks)
Any channel be it AlJazeera or another channel not available on Sky Glass/Sky Stream or any other provider that does IPTV
1) It requires first of all a channel wanting to be on the ITPV provider EPG
2) It requires the channel and ITPV provider having a broadcast agreement with each other to provide that channel
3) It requires a channel having a streaming version available so it can be broadcast by the IPTV provider
Some channels will not want spend money that's involved in providing a streaming version of their channel to IPTV providers
If AlJazeera want to be available on Sky Glass/Sky Stream that requires that channel asking Sky to be made available and AlJazeera and Sky doing a deal between each other to provide that channel
The above also applies to any other channel not available on Sky Glass/Sky Stream
Sky cant just provide a live TV channel on Sky Glass/Sky Stream without having a agreement in place with the channel broadcaster
The Channel broadcaster also must provide a streaming version of their Channel to Sky

Yes GD1 I accept that though you have told us Sky does not employ you you are not required to declare who you are working for.

Sorry @Anonymous+Bolland that sounded belligerent. Not intended.
Simply wanted to ensure what Sky's role in removing AJ was before I ask AJ for an explanation for their refusal to appear on the Sky platform.

Al Jazeera is available on Sky satellite platform
Sky Glass/Sky Stream is a streaming service
IPTV is not the same as receiving a channel from Satelite from Sky or Freesat or Freeview from a aerial or cable TV
If any channel wants to be available on IPTV be it Sky or another IPTV provider
It requires that channel provide the streaming version of their channel to the IPTV provider and having a aggrement between each other to provide that channel
IPTV involves different broadcast aggrements to receiving channels from a satelite or from a aerial
