starred emails disappeared as I was searching through them - can I recover them?

I decided to clean out my Inbox starting with the starred ones as I knew many were out of date.

They all came up perfectly. I do not know what I touched but they all disappeared/deleted.

Is it possible to recover them, please?

How do you view your emails, web or app?

Perhaps you have just hidden them?
