sick to death of sky yahoo mail data breaches , how do i delete my yahoo account

I've tried to delete via yahoo but it will not allow me to do so , there is no option to delete my e mail account on my sky account page either , anyone else have the same issues and did you manage to solve it.

No recent data breaches. If you don't log into your Sky Yahoo mail account, it will eventually be deleted automatically. Otherwise call Sky and tell them you want to delete it.

If you don't login to your email account for a period of a good few months then it will be deleted, you can call Sky but not all advisers will know how to delete the account.
