Yahoo will not let you use outlook

This really sucks.

I just joined sky taking the whole package. I try to get an email address as I have had to drop my previous one as it does not reach my area. Sky says 'Use Sky Yahoo' and when you click on the links it tells you it is no longer available. you check the help section and you find that it no longer allows app passwords so OUTLOOK IS NO LONGER AVAILABLE. it has been like this for months. 

I wish this had been told to me before I signed up, but SKY are sneaky and don't tell you that as it might cost them customers.

What a second rate company. I will be looking to change ASAP as a company that is this pathetic should not have customers!

I'm afraid much of that doesn't make sense.

Yes, it's correct that Sky no longer allow new Sky Yahoo Mail accounts.

But they don't stop you using any existing email account you may have, or any new one you might set up with another email provider.

What on earth does that mean? Email addresses are not restricted to "areas".

Nonsense, app password are definitely available (and required) for Outlook. You just need to have an email address, which as a new customer you don't.

Your post it is a bit difficult to understand but if you are complaining that you can't setup a new Sky email address then that is correct you can't but there are plenty of suitable alternatives out there that are way better than Yahoo anyway, Outlook.com (Microsoft) and Gmail (Google) are two such alternative suppliers of email accounts that you can use.

You don't have to drop any email address as you can access it anywhere on any device so I have no idea what "it doesn't reach my area" mean in relation to this.

I used to use Yahoo services up until a few years ago but hearldy use Yahoo now.

Yahoo seems to have become less popular in the last few years and they have also

closed some of there services.
