Wife receiving replies from companies I have ordered goods from

I ordered a present for my wifes birthday using my sky email address and she also received the despatched email from the vendor, destroying the surprise. She also has a sky email address ... How can this happen?

If you used your email address have you got any filters or forwarding in place whereby emails you are sent and then sent through to your wife ?

Either your wife's email address and yours are indistinguishable to the  email system, or the vendor somehow has her contact email address.

Not that I am aware of .. Also it is not all emails. Just occasional replies from online vendors, Amazon etc.

My wife uses her maiden name in her email address so our names are completely different ...

I doubt it has anything to do with Sky. (or Yahoo)

Somehow you must have both addresses registered with the vendors.

Unless, possibly, you have your wife's address as your recovery address.
