Any updates to Yahoo email would always take place in the background and a user would never need to login to update their account.

If you hover the mouse cursor over the link does it point to a genuine Sky website? Also check the from address - I bet it isn't Sky.com

This is why it is a scam as any updates will be down by Sky/Yahoo in the background without you needing to do anything.
