Unable to verify username or password when trying to send email on a MacBook

I am unable to send emails directly from the mail app on my Macbook as I am unabkle to verufy my username and password. Both are correct as I can log in via a webpage and access everything. I've updated the passwords and entered it multiple times into the IMAP section of the settings but it just won't work. Help!!!

Depending on the app you are using , you may need to use a generated password.
