Unable to access Yahoo email account due to no UK mobile number

Suddenly my Yahoo email account requires me to supply a UK or Irish mobile number to receive a code to access my emails.

I live in France, and do not have a UK or Irish mobile phone number.

Someone posted a telephone number where the Sky employee offered to send an email with instructions about how to resolve the issue, but a moderator has removed the number due to 'advertising'.

Could someone send me the telephone number that has been removed?

There is no such number, and we are waiting to see if Sky are going to respond as to what will happen to those that are in your position.

I wonder if an app on the PC would work for you - https://apps.microsoft.com  - search for Authenticator app.

As you have never setup 2FA, could you try logging in again here: https://sky.com/signin/email/ 

I'm seeing the "Maybe later" option back on my accounts that don't have 2FA.

I wonder if Sky have reverted back, whilst they try to sort their mess out.

@jayach That link you posted is the one that i normally sign in to my email on, but after the last few days it never worked and always took me to the other page people are seeing now where we have to set up 2fa,but after seeing your post here i just tried it again now and initially it took me to the other 2fa page where it sends out the code to my phone but i ignored it and clicked to sign in with code (the one it sent me when this stupid 2fa carry on started the other day).Then i tried to log in via that link you posted (the one i always used in the past) and the 2fa has now been turned off and like you i now see the maybe later option underneath like it used to be.

So thankfully its back to how it was before all this mess started  (for how long is anyones guess but fingers crossed 🤞😁 )

For sky to do this without any forewarning is ridiculous for people who have no way of using 2fa by the method they are forcing on us.

Try it again if you can as it looks like as long as you have the recovery code that you should have made a note of you can use this to login and use the setup later option if prompted to set this up again.

Yes it does seem a bit flakely, depending on what you were doing before, but the "maybe later" is definitely back, as long as you hadn't enabled the 2FA previously.
