Hi,
I've been having issues downloading mails so I reinstalled outlook, but now it won't allow me to add the account and keeps asking me to wait an hour...
I've tried adding it directly with POP3 and IMAP but both also fail.
It's still coming through on my Mac and I can access via a browser, but can't get the app to work.
Does anyone have any ideas what the issue is or how to resolve?
Thanks!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreWhen adding the account to Outlook make sure you don't set it up as a Yahoo account so select other and use these settings:
Incoming Mail (IMAP) Server
Server - imap.tools.sky.com
Port - 993
Requires SSL - Yes
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server
Server - smtp.tools.sky.com
Port - 465
Requires SSL - Yes
Requires authentication - Yes
You will then need to generate a 16 digit password and use that instead of your usual one, you can do that here:

Thanks, sorry I couldn't load the pic o wanted and I actually deleted all the others on my side, so not sure how they stuck there. Thanks for removing!

@caesarome @That's what I was trying, barring getting the new 16 digit passcode (which I have now also done) which I assume is supposed to be used as the POP3 and SMTP password? That didn't work either

When I choose IMAP, I don't get the request to add port numbers etc. It only asks for the server and the domain/username.

@caesarome actually, I got it to work on the Gmail app, but still not on outlook, where I would probably prefer it...

Yes, @caesarome I did select not yahoo to get the choice of input, including IMAP and POP3. IMAP only asks for the server and domain.
I would post a screenshot but outlook won't allow it.

I am also facing issues setting up sky email on outlook on Android 13 - I have tried "Not Yahoo" option and selected IMAP option and also generated a new 16-digit password but I am getting connection to server timeout. On the IMAP setting page - apart from server details it is asking for "Domain\Username" - what is the domain to use. I have tried "sky.com\<sky email>" and "imap.tools.sky.com\<sky email>" with the same failed result. Can you please advise on that to enter for the "Domain\Username"

Can you explain just how you got to those options?
07 May 2023 09:46 PM
From Outlook:
Add Account --> <input email address> --> <takes you to yahoo sign in - which does not work and fails with authentication error, so I selected "Not Yahoo" from the top> --> <gives you an option to change account provider> --> <gives various provider options, so I selected IMAP> --> it then presents this page where you have to enter the following details:
Email address = <email>
Server = imap.tools.sky.com
Domain\Username = sky.com\<email>
Password = <password>
Description
After entering all the details, it then displays "attempting to login" and then after about a minute it then failed with Login Error:
The connection to your email server timed out, Please check your email settings
So my query is - what should be entered in the Domain\Username field?

Have you tried entering your complete Sky email address ?
07 May 2023 09:59 PM
@caesarome - yes, I am using my full email address as follows:
sky.com\<email>@sky.com
My query is what is the domain part of that field?
