My husbands Sky/yahoo email account has been hacked and has been sending out strange emails to his contacts. We're so frustrated as we've been going round in circles trying to sort it! Sky send us to Yahoo. yahoo send us to Sky. We no longer have Sky broadband, but we've kept the email addresses.
we've tried changing the password but when it gets to the security page it asks for the first street he lived in. We know the answer is correct but then it denies him access. Don't know where to go from here. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreEmail accounts don't usually get hacked so to speak as they gain access due to someone responding to a scam email that might have been designed to make it look like it has come from Sky.
So login to your online account:
https://skyid.sky.com/signin/email/
Go to Settings > More Settings > Filters and remove anything that you did not setup.
Then go to Settings > More Settings > Mailboxes > Your email address > Reply-to address
And again remove anything here that you did not setup.
If you have had to make then logout and change your password:

You might want to give some thought to setting up two step verification as per this:

Thanks for the info. I had seen that on one of the posts but he can't get into settings to even see what's there! He's just told me that he thinks he may have clicked on something he shouldn't have!! As you can see we're not very IT literate. Learning the hard way!

It comes up with his email page and email address. It then asks for his password. He clicks on that and I says"your password is incorrect, try again or use the link below". He then clicks on forgotten password. He gets the reset page. Puts in his email address, clicks continue. Obviously he can't get it reset by email so selects security question. Puts in his last name and the security question is always the first street he lives in. Puts that in, and he knows it's correct. Clicks submit and gets a message saying Access Denied, you do not have permission to access etc.
