But I don't have a UK/IE phone.
There just be a way
At the moment without a UK/IE phone there is no way so in the meantime you might be able to access your emails via an app instead unless it wants to send you a code when setting this up which it might do.

Re: Sky authentication not excepting non UK phone number
OK everyone.
I think I have sorted out. But unfortunately this may not help Matthew Robinson.
One of my mates still had a UK number.
So I managed to log in to the sky email server.
Then as Caesarome suggested, and after the POP IMAP thing Jayach mentioned. I opened MS outlook.(yes I know).
I fed my sky email in to outlook. Outlook then asked me to open my tab with my sky email on. And BANG. It download everything. Folders, files, emails, the lot.
I then restarted the PC and outlook fetched the emails fine. So... So far so good.
One thing I will mention is that after you log in to the sky email. it will let you change the phone number. but only to (yep you guessed it) a UK/IE one.
This is the only workaround I can come up with.
Anyway. thanks for everyones help and advice.

Re: Sky authentication not excepting non UK phone number
That would be something. At least I could tell my contacts my new email address elsewhere, since the Sky Yahoo one is now useless

Re: Sky authentication not excepting non UK phone number
All, it looks like Sky have turned off the mandatory 2 step verification requirement. I don't know whether that's temporary or permanent. For the moment anways, the 'set up later' button has been restored.

Re: Sky authentication not excepting non UK phone number
That's good news.
At least I can get into my emails for now.
But I am still unable to remove my old phone number that they have, or set up 2FA in any other way

Yes. And copy any important emails you might need.
Just as an update.
My outlook still has access to my mail account and also, I dont need to sign in at all. I just click the desktop icon and Im in.

Re: Sky authentication not excepting non UK phone number
Have they?
I am scared to try to log in from browser to check, as I have everything running OK ish. If their system logs an outside attempt and then locks up again I might lose fragile access I have now.
Why they cant let their customers use non UK numbers still mystifies me.
