Sky Yahoo mail keeps sending my Facebook and eBay messages to bulk mail folder

Been using Thunderbird and Sky Yahoo Mail for years and I love it, at least I did!

Now it's dumping all my eBay and Facebook messages into the junk folder or bulk mail as it calls it! Yes I know I can open the junk folder, select the messages and click 'not junk.'

Two problems with that, first the time I'm wasting clicking all these messages and clicking not junk and secondly it doesn't work as all my Facebook and eBay messages still end up in junk!

This is driving me nuts. Is it a known problem due to a bad update or is it here to stay in which case I will have to reluctantly look for another program?

Check to see whether it's the Thunderbird app or Sky Yahoo Mail sending these emails to junk. Where do they appear if you log in here: https://www.sky.com/signin/email

Is your account via Thunderbird setup as a IMAP (which duplicates your online account) or a POP one ?

It's IMAP.

In the folder marked spam.

Go to Settings (the screw icon on the right hand side) > More Settings > Filters and remove anything that you did not setup.

Then go to Settings > More Settings > Mailboxes > Your email address > Reply-to address

And again remove anything here that you did not setup.

If you have had to make a change then logout and change your password:

You might want to give some thought to setting up two step verification as per this:

If you do set this up it in important that you make a note of and keep safe the recovery code.

You might need to mark them 'not spam' in the online version via sky.com. I'm not sure that the Thunderbird app can pass those instructions back to Sky.

You are right, Thunderbird can't seem to pass the instructions so I had to do it directly in Yahoo. Thanks.

All appears to be working properly again after following your instructions. Still can't understand why it started doing this in the first place when it's been working perfectly for years. But I guess that's computers for you. Many thanks for the help.
