Sky Yahoo mail - drafts are being autosaved to inbox?

In the last couple of days I've noticed that my draft emails are no longer appearing in Drafts folder but instead are being auto-saved to my Inbox.  And multiple versions of the drafts are appearing, perhaps 3 or 4.  Any ideas why?  And what I might do to stop it?   I access my Sky Yahoo email via Brave browser.

Have you checked for any filters or settings that could be causing this to happen, it might be worth deleting all the drafts from both your drafts and inbox.

Have you checked for any filters or settings that could be causing this to happen, it might be worth deleting all the drafts from both your drafts and inbox.

Well well - just looked at Filters in Settings, and there's a filter sending all my draft outgoing mail to my inbox!  I have no recollection of creating such a filter . . . but I've deleted it now and all appears to be well.  Thanks so much!

I have the same problem, but Filters in Settings are for filtering *incoming* email.  What does your filter "sending all my draft .. mail to my inbox" actually look like, please?

The filter says "Sent mails" Deliver to Inbox if From contains "xxxxxxxx@sky.com".   I deleted the filter yesterday but oddly it's there again this morning?

Yes I changed my password yesterday.  I confess I didn't do the 2 stage authentication as well but perhaps I should do that too.

It might be worth doing it and if you do it is really important that you make a note of the recovery code that is shown on the screen.

It's strange if you have the same problem, as it's not one that has been mentioned on here before. (AFAIK)

Also the inbox doesn't seem to be one of the folders that emails can be filtered to.

Have you checked all the other settings to see if anything has changed?

I have the same problem, but I don't have any filter that directs 'sent' emails (from a specified address) into inbox.

 

The problem is surely not that draft emails are filtered to inbox, but that they are sent [anywhere] at all!  Yahoo email drafts should - per Yahoo standard practice - be being autosaved while they remain as drafts, with the autosaves hidden from user access and the [most recent version of the] draft remaining available AS a draft for further editing.  What I am getting instead is literally dozens of autosaves in my inbox for my most frequently-updated-intraday draft emails. If I close the draft, it does a final autosave-to-inbox and I then have to open the most recent version in the inbox and press 'forward' to reinstate it as a draft.  And then delete the dozens of autosaves in the inbox!

Thanks for greater clarity on just what is happening.

If I create an email, the draft behaves exactly as you say it should, nothing ever goes to the inbox, and as you say the autosaves shouldn't be visible at all.

Why yours and @sharmer's are behaving differently I can't explain, and I can't think of any settings that would change that default action.

Could you see if it behaves the same if you use a different browser?

It does behave the same way in a different browser.

 

But in my two further yahoo accounts (added to the main account so that one can toggle back and forth between them), the problem does NOT arise.
