on the first link and on the second link I get a Sky iD Error 288.
For this error try rebooting your broadband router so it picks up a new IP address, leave it off for 5 minutes or so before powering it back up.
Didn't work for me. Not keen on paying for a solution to a frustrating situation. Been like it now for 5 days. My IT skills are limited and I don't understand the majority of instructions. Afraid i'll lose evrything on my computer.

I presume you are getting the 288 error when trying to login to your sky email account and that leaving your broadband router off for 5 minutes hasn't fixed it ?
If so what web browser do you use, is it Internet Explorer or Google Chrome or Firefox ?

So if IE is working then it might be an issue with your previous browser or perhaps an add-on you use with it, what browser were you using and have you tried disabling all the add-ons to see if it works and if it does try enabling the add-ons one by one.
