Sky Go
I assume this may have been asked before.
I have not used Sky Go for a long time.
I used it on my laptop today.
I accept you can not get BBC channels on Sky Go for some reason.
However I noticed when I went on to TV Guide and then HD. The first channel is channel 106. The only way I can watch ITV on Sky Go is to go on to Entertainmeht where it is showing on channel 103. Is this correct.

This is correct as ITV HD is at 803 so if you scroll down you should see it.

Re: Sky Go
caesarome.
Thanks for the reply.
I still do not understand.
1) When you go into HD section why channel 103 is not showing, even though it is an HD channel., and you have to go to Entertainmet section to find it.
3) What is the difference between channels 103 and 803

Re: Sky Go
Channel 103 is the SD version and 803 is the HD version as the channels are the wrong way round in the app and it has been this way for a long time so will not be fixed anytime soon.

Re: Sky Go
caesarome
Thank you again as you are the only one replying to this thread I started.
I think I now understand.
1) On my smart Samsung television
Channel 103 is ITV 1 HD and channel 803 is ITV 1 SD.
2) On Sky Go app. Channel 803 is ITV 1 HD and channel 103 is I TV 1 SD
3) The trouble is on Sky Go app it takes so long to scroll down to channel 803. so watching on channel 103 is easier. Also on my laptop when I am watching on Sky Go app there seems to be no difference in the quality of the pictures on both channels.
4) You can not get any BBC channels on Sky Go app.
I hope the above is all correct.
4)

Re: Sky Go
Caesarome.
Thank you and much appreciated.
I am of an age where I find modern technology rather difficult.
I do not know why Sky Go app can not be changed so that it lists ITV channels correctly, though the Sky Go app is useful, particularly if your Sky Q box is not working and you are waiting for it to be repaired or a replacement.

Note that's a stipulation by the BBC because it's in their own interest to be able to report higher user numbers in iPlayer to justify the Licence Fee.
