Problem with accidentally deleting a shortcut on my homepage

Hi, I'm 76 years old and not as good with computer problems as maybe someone younger! I went on to my desktop yesterday to check my e-mails on Sky/Yahoo and when I went on to the 'home' page which contains the eight buttons which are most regularely used, I clicked on the Sky button but accidentally clicked on the top right of the button, which of course deleted the 'Sky' button altogether and I'm totally unable to restore the 'Sky' button to this page. So any advice as to how I can do this would be very much appreciated. Thanks. Eddie

Just so you know, we're mainly customers here - it's unlikely that Sky will reply to your post.

If you can tell us which browser you're using we may be able to help: Chrome? Edge? Brave? Firefox? etc

With any luck it should automatically appear in your home page after that.

If not, explain a bit more about how your home page is set up.

If it doesn't. your Chrome home page should have, amongst the shortcuts you've already created, one labelled 'add shortcut'. If you click on it, there are two boxes to complete. Just copy the link posted by @jayach in the box labelled URL, and 'Sky Yahoo Mail' in the one labelled 'name'.

Thanks @Mark39, I don't use Chrome, I use Firefox and Edge, but most modern browsers seem to put your most commonly used URLs on their "home page".

It really all depends on what you call a home page.
