I have a longstanding Sky/Yahoo email account on my Apple MacAir laptop. I returned to Sky a week ago and had to set up a new password etc but now, I am unable to get mail on my laptop. Iphone, Web access to Yahoo is fine but, when I try to get into the mail on my laptop, I am asked to put in my password, when I do, 2 step authentification pops up, I put in the code then it comes up 'not authorised'. I have tried the old password but that does not work either. I have phoned Sky, but they can't help either. Has anyone else had this problem and resolved it?
To repeat - password works on the web, my phone and to access Sky but...not on my laptop.

When the 2FA asks for a code, are you receiving that on your phone?
You say it works on the web, so just how are you trying to access your email on the laptop?
