Need to renew my email password. Sky wants me to provide the answer to a security question, which

Sky website only offers one way to do this but as I cannot remember the answer they want I cannot do what is required. Surely there's another option??

Usually you can reset your password by selecting the email option but this is only possible if you have a backup email address setup on your account so I take it you don't have this setup ?

Thanks that's exactly my situation. I don't think I have a backup though. Could you advise me how to go about it please? (I'm getting on a bit and not a computer whizz!)

Assuming you know your current password, you should be able to log in here:

https://www.sky.com/mydetails/sky-id

and scroll down to find an option to change your security question.
