I'm using Outlook 2003 which has worked just fine up until the global outage, but I still can not get any messages either in or out on it. is there still problems? I have tested the outlook account settings but it keeps coming back saying " specified server found, but there is no response from the server" I get this for both pop3 and SMTP. I can get messages on the mail.yahoo.com site though. Any Help with this please?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIf you are trying to use pop, the pop server is pop.tools.sky.com, not pop3. Also try pop.mail.yahoo.com.
Are you definately using a generated password?

I also use Outlook 2003, and it is still working fine.
Have you made any changes recently that could be causing the problems? (like updated security software)

Hi to both, thanks for replying, I've changed nothing since the outage, or after. I was using the settings 995 and 465 respectively as requested by Sky when I first connected years ago, but I just tried 993 as sugested, but nothing worked for that either sadly.

Now it's working but that's always worked and I've been logged in all day as that's the only way I can see my recent massages on my desktop now. I get my massages on my iPhone no problem, but I don't use that for my business when I'm at home.

When I login to my outlook emails I get; Outlook send/receive progress report: "Task pop3.tools.sky.com receiving report error (0x80040900) server name you entered can not be found on the network. " etc.😣

Hi, Well pop3 is what it's been since I first created my Sky account way back when. I'll try just pop and let you know the result. Just checked and it is listed as pop.tools.sky.com, however the error report list it as pop3.tools.sky.com oddly.??
