Locked out of Yahoo and cant get 6 digit code

I have got locked out of Yahoo, I have reset password and confirmed through back up email, when I come to log in it says its sending 6 digit code to my mobile. It never arrives and after multiple resend requests it still not arriving. 

Any suggestions why the code is not sending.

No idea why you are not receiving the code but you might be able to turn off two step authentication.

When you signed up to 2FA you were given a recovery code so if you didn't make a note of it then check the email you were also sent.

To turn off 2FA sign in with the recovery code so at the login select "can't sign in with the code" link. You'll then be asked for the recovery code.

There have been a few reports of the same problem with Verification codes not arriving in a timely manner. 

If you made a note of the Recovery Code as suggested when you  originally set up two step login, you can use it to turn off the 2 step requirement.

Cant get into email to get the recovery code so cant switch off 2FA

Can only suggest, then, that you speak to Sky to report the problem with receiving the Verification code.

Do Sky have a phone line ? Tried the Bot and that was not much help

There might be another way to access your emails to locate the recovery code and that is to set up your account via an email app or program like Outlook as you wouldn't need a code to get into your account this way.

I have 2-step verification which requires the 6 digit code. Same as you I have requesyted it several times to no avail

You can turn it off by signing in with the recovery code as mentioned above.

Today having a problem with the 2 step verification, request to await for the code on another device which never arrives. I then went to reset and do recovery by using the recovery code. Which was accepted but then a new code was to be sent which again hasn't been received. Frustrated as don't understand why this isn't working. Please can anyone assist?

If you've used the Recovery Code correctly, 2 step login will be turned off and no further codes sent, unless you activate it again.

I have been trying to get the 6 digit code as well but although I have received other texts nothing comes through from sky. This message doesn't help.

'Please enter the recovery code you saved when you first set up two-step verification. If you use this code, you’ll need to set up two-step verification again.'

I cannot find this recovery code!!

I have just spoken with Sky support and they inform me the two step verification process is an error on their part and are working to fix it. This may take 24 hours

Exactly, what happened for me. But found a note on my long list of things to remember recovery code which entered and gave access. But still can't use or reset up 2 step verification 😖
