I received an email from sky saying my account will be closed because i have ignored update messages

I received an email supposedly from sky saying my email account will be closed on a certain date because I have ignored all update messages, but I haven't received any update messages. The email has a link to click on in the message. Is this real or a scam?

@KLB1 

If the email addressed you as Dear member or similar then it isn't from Sky as Sky would address you by your actual name and they woudn't email you out of the blue asking you to click a link to keep something active.
