Hacked account, receiving thousands of spam email

I think my Sky Yahoo email account has been hacked and I am now getting thousands of emails asking me to verify my email account for their website.  I've changed my password but it hasn't stopped the incoming emails.  How can I stop this?  Thanks

@gazbo64

As you can get logged in go to Settings (the screw icon on the right hand side) > More Settings > Filters and remove anything that you did not setup.

Then go to Settings > More Settings > Mailboxes > Your email address > Reply-to address

And again remove anything here that you did not setup.

If you have had to make a change then logout and change your password:

You might want to give some thought to setting up two step verification as per this:

https://www.sky.com/help/home/sky-yahoo-mail/two-step-verif/articles/two-step-verification

If you do set this up it in important that you make a note of and keep safe the recovery code.

The fact that someone is using your email address fraudulently doesn't necessarily mean that your Sky Yahoo Mail account has been hacked. It just means that someone has somehow got hold of, or guessed your email address - they're not private. If the checks suggested by @caesarome don't show anything untoward you should be ok, though it might be sensible to set up 2 step verification, perhaps temporarily as an additional security measure.
