I know it's a small thing, but when I click on "Dislike" then on Feedback, they disappear... but then re-appear almost instantly!
I get loads of different Gambling app adverts and no matter if I mark it as 'Offensive', 'Scam' or whatever, they just keep coming back.
Does anyone at Sky/Yahoo actually take account of the feedback?! Even if it was just a bot, surely it would understand that I don't want those sorts of adverts (and I personally think they should be banned everywhere)?!
Yes, I've tried using an adblocker but it makes the site incredibly slow for some reason... 😕

Thanks, will do - but I still think the web client shouldn't be hosting gambling ads - plus, what's the point of asking for 'Feedback' if it's not acted on! It's literally completely ignored, with the next ad being yet another gambling one *sigh* 🙄
I access my Sky/Yahoo mail away from home from a web browser (as I do with Gmail and Hotmail - but they don't bombard me with gambling ads)...

Was using AdBlock on Chrome, may be a completely different cause (network issues, PC slow down etc), not sure, just didn't function properly.
Got it working OK on Opera now though 👍

Is that using its built in adblock or did you add one?

Using Opera's built-in one, seems fine. Do like the browser, much prefer it over Edge and Chrome 👌
I honestly think the 'Feedback' questionnaire on the Ads is just a sop so that Yahoo can claim (to any overseeing authorities?) that it's giving customers 'options'. I suspect there's literally no code behind that at all LOL, just a blank space 😆

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI tend to use Opera when making screen grabs for the forum, its editing facilities are very easy to use, and it seems to be the only one with blur for obscuring personal details.
I'm sure someone will now tell me one of the other browsers also have.it.

This happens inside the yahoo android app also only one advert ever shows and it's virgin games. Girlfriend uses yahoo and is ex gambler and she's had enough of it she clicks hide and 2 seconds later the advert reappears. Shouldn't be happening and saying to use adblocker is irrelevant. She's tried clearing app cache, cookies etc nothing fixes it. Someone please raise this as a bug and fix it asap. It's disgraceful. These companies have no tact. Adverts should be banned if the features to block or hide don't work

Use a different app or you could complain to Yahoo.

Then try using the Outlook app instead as there are alternative ways to access an email account.

We shouldn't have to use another app. The whole point of advchoice is it should remember that you chose not to see a particular ad or type of ad

See your Sky Yahoo Mail terms and conditions. These aren't ads you can opt out of.
