I have not been receiving a lot of emails sent to my Sky account for a few days. I foud this out when a friend contacted me and said the emails he was sending were being bounced with a unable to deliver message. I sent myself a test message from another account and got an error message as follows:
"A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:
<my sky email address>
host mx-eu.mail.am0.yahoodns.net [188.125.72.73]
SMTP error from remote mail server after pipelined MAIL FROM:<another email address> SIZE=11663:
421 4.7.0 [TSS04] Messages from 185.151.28.75 temporarily deferred due to unexpected volume or user complaints - 4.16.55.1; see (Removed)
retry timeout exceeded"
I am still receiving the above message and not receiving many emails. Can anyone help?

Thank you all for your input on this. I finally received a reply from UK2 which identifies it as a known problem currently being worked on between Yahoo and UK2. UK2 support provided the following information on the current status:
We are currently experiencing delays with forwarded e-mails being delivered to Yahoo-based addresses, this affects AOL and Sky mailboxes as they utilise Yahoo’s e-mail infrastructure. If you are forwarding your e-mails to a Yahoo-based address, you may encounter delays or bounce-back messages with errors such as “temporarily deferred due to unexpected volume or user complaints.” This issue is due to recent changes on the Yahoo platform. We are in ongoing contact with Yahoo’s technical team, who have acknowledged the problem and have their engineers actively investigating it. Unfortunately, Yahoo has not provided an indicated time of resolution. We continue to monitor and mitigate these delays as much as possible, and will chase the Yahoo team daily. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and will provide further updates as soon as more information becomes available. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt's strange that you say that you are "not receiving many emails", which suggests some are still getting through, so do those that are arriving have anything in common?
The error message you show (and I'm no expert at deciphering error messages) seems to suggest the I.P. address 185.151.28.75 is the one being blocked, which is a stackmail address, so are you using stackmail in any form?

Hi
I am using UK2 mail forwarding from my personal domain. Interestingly I think they have just migrated their mail platform to called StackCP. My problems seem to start around this time. I receive emails sent directly to my sky account, but not those sent via my domain forwarding. I have temporarily redirected my formarding to a gmail account and that is working fine. So if Sky is blocking the IP address of my UK2 forwarding that would explain the problem. How do I go about getting that fixed?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreIt won't be Sky doing the blocking, it may be Yahoo, but from the error message
"mx-eu.mail.am0.yahoodns.net [188.125.72.73] SMTP error from remote mail server"
Yahoo are being given the error from another server, but I can't work out who it is.
