I have found that all the emails in my inbox have disappeared from before 1.00pm today 22nd March 2022. I have checked it on the web browser mail as well and this is also the case here as well. How do I recover these important emails if they are no longer currently appearing on the server?

I do view my emails on different devices. I have since found that some of my recent emails have now reappeared in my deleted items but the deleted items only go as far as the 16th March 2022 and they should go a lot further.
Is anyone aware of some work being done to sky / yahoo email accounts?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreI'm not sure what is happening but I do know that Yahoo will delete any emails on the deleted folder after a certain period of time as it shouldn't be used to save emails.
If you access your emails on other devices do you also login to your online email account on them or use something like Outlook ?

I have logged into my emails today to find all my inbox is also missing from before Jan 2022. Not sure what is happening but I had tickets for the theatre etc in there

I have just encountered the same problem. All emails disappearing from my inbox and not visible in any other folders.
I use the mail app on IOS and the web access vis Chrome – every place I log in the emails have gone?
Has anyone had a solution for this? All previous saved emails remain in designated folders.

It seems that it is all emails prior to the 2nd June, it looks like they’ve been purged from both inbox and deleted items folders. No emails in those two folders remain prior to the 2nd June. All other folders are fine.
Seems very strange. Looks like the deleted items purge has also deleted inbox items too.

While this should never happen sadly with Yahoo this is quite a common issue especially if these emails were all in the inbox. Best thing to do is to move them all out of the inbox to other folders, these can be set up if needs be.

Thanks @caesarome I'm guessing it's a Yahoo purge anomaly as you say, I do diligently move them and only had a few stragglers in my inbox, so it's no drama but never happened to me before and have had the email for many many years.

I have the same problem. I can see the e-mails on the web, but everything in my outlook inbox before about 2pm today is missing - Outlook says trying to syncronise IMAP - and stuck at 6 minutes remaining.

Not the same problem at all. The OP has lost them from everywhere, including the web.
You probably need to update your password in Outlook to one you can generate here: https://www.sky.com/sky-yahoo-mail/manage-apps

******Update***** I requested the emails to be restored via this link and they all downloaded this evening – wasn’t expecting them to but everyone came back.
I just chose the option deleted in error and my inbox came back with more than the original emails too.
I think you need to be quick with this service though and within a week of them vanishing, I did mine the same day.
