@weetooner

You might have been sent this due to not logging in here for a while:

https://skyid.sky.com/signin/email/

So if you can do this regularly then going forward you should have no further issues.

Call Sky ?

If you do use the link posted here then you shouldn't have any issues. I login to mine once or twice a month and wasn't sent the email when Sky did this last year.

@Display+name+1888 all you can do is contact Sky, but I'm pretty sure they'll only tell you what we've said here: that is, providing you've logged in via sky.com, you should be fine.

If it's any comfort the same concerns arose the last time this process was run, about a year ago, but I'm not aware of anyone ending up with their email account being deleted inappropriately.

Re: Email saying account inactive and scheduled for deletion when account is used daily.

Just been told by sky customer service that these emails were sent out in error to sky mail customers. They will not be deleting accounts on 4th August. I use my account all the time, so that's reassuring.

@Icloud

That might not be correct so to make sure you keep your email make sure you login to it:

Re: Email from sky saying closing email accounr

I use Outlook, I take it this doesn't count as logging in at all?

Email saying my account will be deactivated when i use it daily

Been sent what looks like a genuine sky email saying my account will be deactivated on the 4th of August if I don't start using it but I use it a log into it most days

@Keith163 the email is genuine. Even if you're logging daily via an email app, you need to log in via sky.com periodically for it to 'count' as a valid log in by Sky

Re: Email saying account inactive and scheduled for deletion when account is used daily.

I log in via sky.com every day, but still received the email today saying my account will be deleted on 4 August.  I'm concerned that Sky can't "tell" that I'm logging in via sky.com, as I shoiuldn't have received the email in the first place.

Active account labelled as inactive

I have received multiple emails stating that my sky (yahoo mail) account will be closed on August 4th due to inactivity. However, I use this email address every single day. I have since logged in via the sky website to try avoid it being closed but later received another reminder email that it would be closed. I would like my account to be marked as active if possible or receive confirmation that it is now active.

Re: Email saying account inactive and scheduled for deletion when account is used daily.

I  just got the same email and am starting to panic now

I use the email daily and if it closes this is a huge problem for me as i will lose access to everything that i need

What do i do about this?

Re: Email saying account inactive and scheduled for deletion when account is used daily.

Sky themselves tell me it's a scam email and nothing will happen, although the advisor didn't seem sure of it in all honesty.

my issue is I cannot log in using the link in the email as my sky id is not the same as the sky email that is/will be shut down, so I think I'm screwed.

if I use my sky id to sign in as per the instructions I just get a message to say I can't set up a new yahoo email, which obviously isn't what I am trying to do.
