I use Oulook to view my Sky email account, so does that explain why I have just received a second warning of closure ?

Yes, very likely

I have now logged into Yarhoo Mail directly so hopefully that should sort things out ?

You need to log in to Sky Yahoo Mail, not Yahoo, at least once a year for your email account to be recognised as active.

See Sky's help here. It includes the link you need to use to log in to Sky Yahoo Mail

@Dave.G6HNI

That could be why because to keep it active you need to use this link:

https://skyid.sky.com/signin/email/

Sky say to do this at least once per year but if you were to do this on the 1st of each month then you should not get anymore of these closure warning emails.

Ah good, thanks caesarome that is the site I have just logged into, but you would have thought they could detect the level of traffic, sent & received emails, on your account ?

I think they only detect logins via that link as they don't monitor emails via apps like Outlook and the like.
