Hi there,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We checked internally and can confirm emails received from medallia.eu is a legitimate contact from Sky.

The intention of the email is to survey your experience after an interaction with places such as Content Centre, Retail, Home Service engineers, Social Media and the Sky Community 'feedback' tab. Sky use a platform called Medallia to complete these surveys which come from these email addresses:

  • sky_uk@express.fra1.medallia.eu
  • sky_ireland@express.fra1.medallia.eu

Thanks again for checking in, you can never be too careful!

Most likely not. What is it asking you to do?

Re: Email from Sky is it legitimate or scam?

Thank you for responding.

Following a conversation with their "customer service team" I received this for feedback.

It didn't look like a genuine email address from Sky, so now thinking the entire call with them was a scam.

thanks

Those are not email addresses that Sky would use, so whatever the emails say can be ignored. Hopefully you didn't give them any personal or account details ?

Re: Email from Sky is it legitimate or scam?

Following a call I made to sky using 150 free phone number I've received an e-mail from

sky_uk@express.

fra1.medallia.eu

It was asking me to do a customer survey using a link in the e-mail. Apart from the date it said I contacted them (1 day different) it all looked legit.

Having read the answers to previous post about this e-mail address, I've moved mine to spam & blocked it.

But, as I was given very different info from call I made to sky using 150 phone number two days before, it made me wonder about using this phone number.

However, the phone number sky rang me back on following my first call, 0800 761 3372, on a search for this number appears to be legit sky number

Yes, it is a genuine Sky number BUT a scammer can easily spoof the number to make it appear that it's Sky calling. It's sensible to always be wary of unsolicited calls from Sky (or anyone).

So right with that, @Mark39

I was expecting a call back from Sky but I was still being bit cautious.

Scammers are so clever, just don't miss a trick.

Sky are known to send out surbey emails but they wouldn't come from a .eu email address as Sky's is sky.com one.

Re: Email from Sky is it legitimate or scam?

Thank you, good to know.

I've now had a call from  number '0800 -761- 3372'. Female left voice mail saying please call Sky Customer Service on '0244 -241 -4141'.

'0800 number seems to be linked to sky but possibly suspicious/trying to upgrade sky products.

'0244  seems to be linked to Sky Customer Service

I've decided to block 0800 number and not call number left on voice mail

Effects of replying to a Sky spam email

I just received an email from Sky with a survey re a call with Sky. As I had just had a very negative experience. I completed the survey. No confidential information given. Noticed that the email  came from medillia.eu email address which I now think is probably not a Sky email address.  Does anyone know the effect of clicking on the survey button and replying. Is the a commonly used Sky scam email?

@UK1

What personal details did you give, so did you supply your username and password because if this was a spam email then changing your password is something that you should do:

Re: Effects of replying to a Sky spam email

@UK1 Medallia is a customer experience tool. Comcast (who own Sky) uses it for surveys and various other customer service requirements. Nothing to be alarmed by and it's not spam.
