I'm thinking of cancelling my TalkTalk account and join Sky as my provider for tv phone and sports plus broadband of course. Do I then have to have a new email address

You would need to ask Talk Talk if you can keep your address with them. You will not get one when you join Sky so if you need a new one then you could get one at Gmai.com (Google) and use that.
