Not sure how that affects the nature of how I solve the problem. Have you a solution?

Phone bust. No verification code. Can't sign in to Yahoo. As my initial post states.
This means: my mobile phone is not working so I can't view the verification code.
'No two step verification code'. Most seem to understand this.
'Can't sign in' should be self explanatory.
Mark39 says ''CALL SKY''
Any relevance to this statement?

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreSky's implementation of 2FA is so bad I don't think even they can administer it. (apologies if I'm wrong, and they can, but it doesn't appear they can)
However as @caesarome says it should be possible to access your email via an app/client and once in you should be able to get your recovery code from the original email sent when it was turned on.
So if you say what device(s) you have we may be able to suggest the best app/client to try.

@jayach Good to hear it's not entirely me at fault. Thank you.
The two app/client things I tried required a company email and were a bit beyond my ken. I was borne before most posessed even a land telephone.
It occurred to me though that if all the info is kept on a memory, Sim card is it called, that if I put my card in a working phone then this might allow me to perform the required verification. And it did.
Yes, I know, you all thought of that but didn't say because because...
Thanks for your help anyway, or attempts to help. I now have a measure of the skill level available on this site for its potentilal future use value.

You know, I really hadn't thought of that,
Now that you have access to your email, I suggest you get the recovery code from the email sent when you turned 2FA on, and use it to turn it off again, until such time as they may improve the system.

@jayach Now that's big of you Jayach and it makes me feel less incompetent.
Will do as you advise. Thank you.
