Can’t get into email as it’s sending text to old phone number

Trying to sign into email but sends code to old phone number

You will need to turn this off then set it up again with your new number,

 

To turn off 2FA sign in with the recovery code so at the login select "can't sign in with the code" link. You'll then be asked for the recovery code.


When you signed up to 2FA you were given a recovery code so if you didn't make a note of it then check the email you were also sent.

You can also try calling Sky but the issue you might have is finding someone that can help as not all advisors know how to do this.

Don't even remember setting it up don't fancy calling sky as nightmare to get to speak to someone

I have exactly the same issue when I changed my contact telephone number. I changed the new  number in "My Details" but this d id not carry over as my contact number in my email account. I have since spent literally hours with the so called "Sky Help" staff who seem incapable of helpng me with this issue.  As a result I have not been able to access my email account for about two weeks whilst I naively assumed that Sky Help staff could fix this issue (What is the point of Sky "Help" staff). I am almost at the point wen I am consideringcancelling my Sky account completely. I would ahve thought thiswas a regular occurance but apparently no so, given the uselessness of the Sky Help staff. I am not really tech  "savy" so need simple instructions on how to fix this.

My above explains how to to this, you need to turn it of by using the recovery code then set it up again with the new number.

@AWestie do you not have a separate note of the Recovery Code as Sky recommended when you set up 2 Step Verification?

Need to change email mobile number in my account. Have wasted countless hours with Sky staff but unsuccessful.
