Automatic monthly deletion of emails from inbox

I often leave read emails in inbox for later. Frustratingly they seem to be automatically delated usually when a new month starts and are lost. I don't think I have altered anything to cause this. I empty my trash often too. Please help - thanks Val

There is no (deliberate) automatic deletion of emails from the inbox. The deleted items are fully deleted after 30 days I believe, not at a specific date.

How are you accessing your emails, could it be a setting in an app/client, if you use one?

I am not computer savvy so please tel me how to access whether or not there has been an accidental deletion after so many days. Thank you - Val
