@PBF are other devices connecting properly if they are reboot the laptop and iPad after telling them to forget the connectio and add them again. If thesexare your only devices check the lights on your Sky hub as the test results can be misleading - see this trouble shooter https://www.sky.com/help/articles/hub-lights-explained-start

I found that the SkyQ box in my study at home was not working properly. I power cycled the SkyQ box and then it started to communicate with my WiFi devices again.

 

To fault find I connected my laptop into the router with an Ethernet cable and it worked, I also had my iPad next to the router and that connected to the internet, so the problem must have been more local within my study. That's when I found my SkyQ box not working. It now works.
