We have a Sky Q setup consisting of Broadband Hub, Sky Q Main Box, 2 Mini-Boxes, 1 Wifi Booster.
WIFI speed can often drop to below 1mb/s (yes you read correctly!), which means, amongst other things, nothing can be viewed on the TV on the Mini-Boxes, or on the Main Box if using any on-demand services. Of course, live TV still works on the main box (thank heavens for a satellite dish and not Sky stream!!) Live TV will drop out on the mini-boxes, because I understand that is connected to the main box via 5ghz wifi.
This problem occurs most days.
I often reboot the hub and it can be ok for a few hours, but always returns to being inconsistent. speeds. Very often, when it is doing it, I can stand next to the Hub and still have ridiculously low speeds also.
It is almost as though there is intermittent interference on the wifi channel that is being used - but I don't want to get into messing about with those settings myself and making things worse.
I also had a new router sent me a few months ago, which made no difference.
It is a large house, hence the need for the booster in the first place - but that does not explain having such low wifi speed next to the hub.
Any help appreciated because it is driving us crazy. The worst part is the TV constantly dropping out on the mini-boxes.
