wi-Fi very slow on my Sky router five

i've just had fibrotic store today and expecting a speed of 900 Mb but when I check on an independent speed checker, I'm only getting 300. Does Sky monitor the Wi-Fi output? As I feel I'm not getting the amount of speed I need. I understand independent speed checkers may not that be reliable but I have tested it with many and still have the problem. Please can you help
