the WiFi never works in the night - it’s like you’ve decided to switch it off to save money. I
every few days I have to work in the night and the wifi is not working - despite all the 'checks' telling me it is. it is not.
on the other nights my speakers and alarm are connect to the WiFi and they turn off in the night because of no internet.
right now I said - hey google and it's says: cannot connect to internet.
every app at sky tells me it's fine and all the call handlers tell me it's fine. But here I am AGAIN hotspotting my phone because the WiFi I pay for isn't working.
it's like it's 'turned off' at night to save money and no one is admitting it

@Graham+key & @JLongmore like most modern systems there are occasions when the network needs to be taken off line for essential maintanace. Sky and Openreach use the hours from midnight to 5am for this work. Unfortunately like overnight roadworks this is inconvenient for people up at that time but there are far fewer of them than during the day.
You can go literally years with no over night drops then get a few weeks of one most nights it just depends on what needs doing. No ISP I have come across gives prior warning and with local work by Openreach Sky will often not be told in advance.

Thanks for this, but this has been happening consistently for months now so cannot be accounted for by periodic works as this is a daily issue and has been since early in the year

That wouldn't save an ISP any cost: it would just lose them customers. Whatever is happening, it's not a deliberate policy.

Hi,

I checked and the Sky Q also seems to not be connected and just whirls to load.
the mains box and the app show no connection issues but it all is offline
Any advice, would be really grateful
