Ghz is an SI unit of frequency, not a speed.

All current* Sky Hub models broadcast both 2.4Ggz and 5Ghz WiFi signals.

* technically the 2013 Sky Hub is still in support, and that's 802.11n 2.4Ghz only.

With black Q and Sky Broadband Hubs, you may need to unsynchronize and rename the bands.

With a white Max Hub you may need to reduce the wireless security level from WPA3 to WPA2-PSK using the Hub settings in the My Sky app.

You can use the same settings to temporarily disable the 5Ghz WiFi band: remember to re-enable it afterwards if you do this.

Re: speed of wifi

thanks for these replies. I do have the right GHz it seems. I re-tried and re-tried the set up of the doorbell and eventually it worked! phew!
