slow broadband faulty tv.

Hi.

my tv keeps freezing and needs resetting and unplugging a bit to often these days.

often it runs with the audio out of sync which makes viewing impossible.

my broadband runs at 50 mb/s or slower . I could not download updates from photoshop 2 nights ago it was running 

below 20mb/s so I rang and complained.

They say the router is running at 156mb/s but I dispute this. If I turn the tv off and use my pc in direct view of the router the best I get is 50mb/s and this is not constant.

sky want me to take out a new broadband 2 year deal  with boosters but I think this is unwise and I don't trust sky anymore.

any help please. ?????
