since upgrading to sky max, everything is worse
Since upgrading to Sky Max, I am barely able to use my laptop in my home office anymore, it constantly looses signal, and as for my printer. if it has a connection, which mostly it doesnt, it takes forever now to print as signal barely there if at all. Fed up, as the checks sky do, wifi signal shows as poor to various tech around the house, but just direct you to this discussion forum to resolve. NOT GOOD ENOUGH SKY

Re: since upgrading to sky max, everything is worse
@Dee1fa not too surprisingly you are not talking to Sky by posting in the forum. Do you have Sky Q boxes by any chance as one of the main causes of poorer wifi when switching to Sky Max is the loss of the wifi hot spots the Q boxes gave with the older black Sky hubs. I
If you arexworking from home you need reliable wifi so why not invest in a whole home wifi system and use that inplace of Sky's wifi? Alternstively you can pay Sky for their WiFi Max add on if you aren't already doing so and get them tonsend you some extender pods https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max

Re: since upgrading to sky max, everything is worse
Thank you, yes I know I'm not talking direct to sky, but this forum is where their more help brings you to. Also yes I am already now paying for sky max, this is when this poor WiFi signal started. Yes I do also have sky q, any ideas how I can rectify the issues. Previously had no problem with WiFi connecting to my laptop and printer in my home office, but now the printer is useless and the laptop, drops out constantly.
kind refards

Re: since upgrading to sky max, everything is worse
I am having exactly the same problem. All was fine before the upgrade. Now intermittent WiFi, very slow, not picked up on various devices, Netflix doesn't work as signal too slow, printer too slow if works at all. I have been through several troubleshooting calls with Sky and they booked me in for a technician 1 month away as they didn't have anything earlier.

Re: since upgrading to sky max, everything is worse
@AN241 & @Dee1fa if you have SkybQ boxes and have switched from a black Sky hub to the new white Sky hub the Sky Q boxes no longer will ,act as WiFi repeaters so devices thst used to use those hotspots now have to connect to the hub which may be out of range. Its a common issue and the solution is to use pod extenders that will work withthe new hubs which can come as part of the WiFi Max bundle if requested.

We've been given a sky max pod extender but hasn't helped.
