I took sky broadband at the start of covid (Sky Broadband Ultrafast 1) and have had issues with the router rebooting iteslf every few days since then, at first I contacted sky who ran tests and said there were no issues, I got fed up of trying to resolve the problem and we just lived with it (usually happening mid evening so didnt affect work and only once every few days), anyway I just signed up for another 18 months of Sky so thought I would have another shot at getting it resolved.
I see others have had the same issue, did you get it sorted?
Thanks.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@wardis the router should not reboot on its own ie all of the leds go out and then come back on taking up to 4 minutes. First point is to check that the mains supply is not causing the issue so check that throughly. If the lights in your home flash or go dim that would cause the hub to reboot using a surge protector on the mains supply to the hub will help there.
Sky hubs can develop faults and rdboots srexa sympton but for this to have been happening for years implies its a not a fault as where there are faults the hub tend to fail completly. However you can call Sky as they should offer to swap out the hub if asked.

Thanks for the reply, it has a surge protector and I have tried it plugged into a different socket (although on the same ring main) never had issues with anything else rebooting, lights flickering etc.
I hope sky offer a new router as that would finally eliminate that and I can look elsewhere.like the overall line installation to my property.or the master socket etc.
thanks again
