no master socket in room for broadband

getting sky broadband set up, but i don't have a master socket in my room and live in a supported living accommodation with easily 60+ people in the same building. people have had master sockets set up for their own wi-fi but i'm just curious about if an engineer can set up a master socket for my room when they come to fit the router?

I think that would come down to a negotiation between Openreach and the building owner.

Re: no master socket in room for broadband

i'm sure that should be fine! i asked the people earlier today and they said they had theirs set up with a master socket installed and the people said it'd be fine to get it all set up. guess i'll have to wait and see on the 3rd
