new user - slow broadband (meant to be 150mb) but its about 42mb

Got connected to 150mb (black router) few days ago. Checked the speed that day and day after and it was 145mb so seemed all good. Today and yesterday checked it various times during day and its consistently about 42mb.

I have read the line speed varies for new users first 2 weeks as they optimise it but surely 42mb is way too low?

@JackaDama Where yo connected on a FF full fibre 150mb/s line or the partial G.Fast modem copper to the home.

If FF then you should be off and running no need for the fine tunning of the system. Couple speed test's below to try. If you are doing a wireless speed test, just make sure that it is quite, and you do not have a couple of 4k streams and a gaming download going on etc...

Test my speed

Its full fibre.

I used those speed testers and it said similar, average of 41mb. No-one else was using the net etc.

I guess i will have to call Sky?

@JackaDama Service checker will also show you the sky daily check to what it see's, worth a look! Try the www.fast.com test, just wait and hit the update as it takes a while to complete.
