Just got the new full fibre ultra fast broadband and I'm having serious issues, my kids WiFi devices only getting 4 mbs even when the WiFi checker on sky app says 700 my iPhone 14 just got 0.09mbs and I'm only 1 meter away on n the same room, my sons gaming computer only gets 110mbs even tho it's plugged through Ethernet I don't understand why it's so bad im struggling to watch videos and play games, please help

@Mjvern when running speed tests you can get abnormal results if too close to the hub due the way the aerials are  designed but you should be seeing WiFi speeds up to 900Mb/s is between 1 to 2 metres from the unit assuming it is out in the open and ideally around waist height to avoid obstructions. Speedscwill drop if the signal has to pass through walls or similar and is entirely blocked by even a thin sheet of metal foil.

 

The ethernet speedscare odd as while 90Mb/s is explicable 110Mb/s is not. Ethernet ports on PCs are often limited to 100Mb//s so can only support throughput of 90Mb/s after allowing for network overheads. Ports have to be Gigabit capable to support higher speeds. Check the settings on the PC for the port

 

You say you have only just got the new service it has been noticed thst it takes a few hours before Sky pick up the new connection and allow the full throughput rather than a restricted bandwidth thst appears to be made available for testing. If you still have the same issue this morning call Sky and report it.
