my iphone tells me my wifi connection at home is not secure

when checking my wifi connection on my phone its telling me its the security is weak. When Ive selected further info it says i need to use a Wap something?

@jules54 we get this question quite frequently normally from iPhone users and it is normally a false alarm.

 

All current black Sky hubs default to WPA2-PSK which is still considered secure by the industry. There is now a new higher standard WPA3 which newer devices can support as it requires diferent chips in the device. The white Sky Max hub Sky are increasingly supplying supprts WPA3 but because most devices customers own do not support that it defaults to a standard called WPA3-T which alows both devices with chips that support WPA2  or 3 to connect.

 

So in summary unless you have a very old router (over 12 years) or have manually changed the settings on your hub you can ignore the warning.
