moving fibre optic cables on outside of our house

Openreach installed our fibre optic connection this week . We don't have underground cable on our road so it was done by overhead 'telephone pole.' There was minimal discussion around where the cables would be run down the brickwork on the outside of our house and they have left the cables in a really unsightly position . We want to get this moved . Sky say they cannot help with , and speaking to anyone at Openreach seems nigh on impossible . Has anyone else had this problem and how did they get it resolved ? Does anyone have  a contact number ?

@peters4 Sky is your broadband provider and need to deal with this for you, OR will not speak to you as OR/Sky are customers to each other and NOT you!

Once the installation is done for the External Fibre that's about it and getting what you want is highly impossible for another re-installation the time to stop the job was right at the start!

Re: moving fibre optic cables on outside of our house

They specificallt say that an adult should be present to discuss the routing on the day the fibre is run. Yiu shouldve disussed the routing, and within reason, they woudlve made it work. In my city, a contractor to sky does the FTTH installation. A first team came, and said, thry cant run the cable as I have a kock block front drive, and they dont get oaid enough to lift blocks abd reinstall. Left, and the reason they have was, Owner refused isntallation. I called sky again, they sent snither person, who disucssed the route with me, I explained I had nonissue with rhe drive being lifted, but the guys didnt want to do it. We discussed carious options, one was to install the dumbt kutside box to be inslled right in the front of the house, he himself said thats not gonna look nice... So, we worked out a route  that took the cable round the house to a side wall... Then there was an issue with working in the crawl space under the hkuse... With newage HSE rules, thats a no no... But he was a senior, who did a risk assesment and ran the cableunder the house..then 2 weeks later, another team team came, lifted the lick blocks, ran the fibre cable...

After the fact, I have a feeling tiu will have a hard time getting any changes. Even if you decicee to ditch sky and get a different ISP, they will only work downstream of the powered ONT that is installed before the router.
