minecraft hypixel . i cant join but a vpn works

when i try to join hypixel the connection times out . I used a vpn and i was able to join meaning the issue is with sky or possibly the sky firewall . Does anyone know how i can fix this and start playing hypixel . A vpn is not allowed on hypixel .

It could be that the Sky Broadband Shield settings need adjusting. You can do this through the Sky app if you're the account holder

If broadband shield is set correctly and it still doesn't fix the issue then try disconnecting the broadband via the Sky Hub interface or leaving the router turned off for about an hour to acquire a new public IP address.
